FLOR DE SAL D'ES TRENC- palma de majorca

On the way to Trenc beach, you will pass by huge salinas and on the side there is a cute shop of FLOR DE SAL.
Be sure to stop by before 8 pm.
*For Trenc beach, we recommend to find a rocky spot with an amazing view and privacy rather than heading to the final beach full of tourists with 30 minutes walk.

There are many flavored salts. Unique. I liked using black one for pasta, it brought additional flavor and created a new taste. Most often quite successful.

Mountains of sea salt... next to salinas.

It makes a great present from Palma.

You can also find FLOR DE SAL at airport. Nowadays it seems getting really popular.
You can find them in Japan too! Our friend from Palma "Sourcing the earth" is distributing!

PANADERIA DE LAS CAPUCHINAS- palma de majorca

Today KasaMaT introduces you to the most delicious empanada ever.

Taking a small path beside caixa forum for about 300m, on the corner on your left side you will find the panaderia.

It is a bit hard to believe the best empanada we have ever tried is made in this old tiny- almost not sure if they are open or not- bakery.

But trust us.

There was only one kind of empanada. Tuna with red pepper.

And, it is amazing. No more word. Just amazing.

Fully stuffed with delicious tuna and really soft red pepper, and the outside bread is the top quality. It is hard to find the bread also being perfectly tasty when it comes to empanada.

The shop is closed on wednesdays. Worth a visit upon your next beach trip to Palma!! Highly highly recommended by both of us.

SUSHI-SAY- london

Finally I have found a good sushi place in London!! Happy about this new find, and now I can recommend friends who ask for a good sushi restaurant in London to try.

Over the counter, you talk to the master and choose your sushi, I felt at home. In Japan, people usually have their favorite sushi bar to stop by for a few pieces of sushi with good sake and enjoy a quick chat with a master and his wife (usually run by a family) or usuals at the sushi bar before going home.

SUSHI-SAY was that. Normal Japanese sushi bar. However this ordinary sushi bar is so hard to find in London. You cannot imagine how happy I was of my finding SUSHI-SAY.

As the night goes on, the place got completely packed. Not only Japanese people but lots of English people also. I can see the place is loved by everyone. Many solo eater at the counter were found. Very typical of sushi bar.

As for the food recommendation, they seemed to have the reputation for good saba sushi. Amakara Junmai sake was lovely. Any sushi is safe to try. Wasabi ice cream is interesting. Agedashi Tofu and Salmon tataki were both lovely.

Le Pain Quotidien- well anywhere in the world nowadays really...

One of the happiest discoveries I made recently is "bombe" at le pain quotidien. As you know, it is a lovely French style cafe- originally from Belgium- and it is almost as if you see it every corner just like starbucks.

But seriously, you do not know anything about them until you taste your first "bombe". You will melt to death!!!

It is their signature cake and what they are known for. I did not know that until my Belgian friend told me a few weeks ago, so you might as well also missing out something amazing still... JUST TRY it!!! And you will know why..

At least all my friends who were forced to try bombe au chocolat by me got really happy. (Or quite happy if they were being polite)

Their cook book is also available at the shop. Mmm.. if it were not for my massive suitcases with full of stuff already, I would have bought it.

Good news is that, they have recently opened a few branches in Tokyo, so I will try there to see if I can find it.
