BODEGA de la ARDOSA- madrid, spain

We have found a great eatery in the middle of Madrid for those looking for an authentic Spanish tapas experience. It is called BODEGA de la ARDOSA, and the place has a secret behind the bar space for eating. (Need to bend and go through under the bar counter)

There, we met out friend Victor and his little corner for ham cutting. You can try a various Spanish ham there- hamon iberico is not to be missed.

Aother amazing tapas were the followings: tortilla and artichoke. It is probably one of the best tortillas of my life- and I have tried a lot before, I mean a lot- even twice a day whenever I am in Spain, and am often in Spain. It is soft and perfectly cooked. We loved it so much and immediately decided to go for the second plate.

Artichoke also was one of the best ones ever tried. It is not a common vegetable in Japan and whenever I tried it outside Japan was just plane boiled one which I did not like it at all. So it was a good surprise to taste this really really soft grilled lightly salted artichoke which melted on your mouth. Big Good Surprise.

Finally, big thanks to Victor who was lovely and introduced us to amazing food. Totally unexpected this to happen in the middle of Madrid! Ureshii!!

Aprons & Hammers- dubai

Just experienced the best way to enjoy Dubai and I am excited to share it with you! Dubai can be enjoyed the most from outside- on water, umm ocean- not from inside. I am sure everyone is bored of endless shopping malls and hotel brunches. Take a boat and go sailing around the Marina bay, jump into water and enjoy the refreshing swim during the afternoon and watch the sunset. Enjoy water skiing and wake boarding. When you are completely exhausted, make a stop at Apron & Hammers. This is a boat restaurant serves fresh sea food. Stop by for fresh draft beer and calamari. Appetisers are recommended. It is just a fun setting, being on a big boat and an open air (upstairs seating is better) chilled restaurant which seems to be impossible to find in Dubai. So that made it also special. And, don't forget to sail alongside the bay after sunset. One side of shore reminds you of manhattan and the other side is a complete Venice night view. In the distance you will see Atlantis and sometimes there are beautiful fire works. Dubai from a boat.... Highly recommended. I don't mind Dubai at all now, in fact, I think I do quite like the city..
